KELOWNA, BRITISH COLUMBIA — The Esporta Certified Operators of North America (ECONA) have announced that members in Canada and the U.S. have saved insurance companies across North America over $100,000,000 in soft contents claims, according to a press release.
Esporta Certified Operators are those restoration contractors who utilize the Esporta Wash System to restore soft contents, the release stated.
According to the release, the patented technology enables Esporta Certified Operators to restore an average of 85 percent of soft contents that were historically cashed out when using traditional cleaning systems.
"We are delighted to see that more and more insurance companies are realizing the benefit they and their customers can receive by restoring and not replacing soft contents," said David MacLean, president of the Esporta Certified Operators of North America.
This volume of soft contents is measured at over 750 tons or 1,500,000 pounds of soft contents that would otherwise have been sent to landfill sites — including irreplaceable and highly sentimental articles, the release noted.
