CRI’s Mendez named SGAC president

DALTON, GA — The State Government Affairs Council (SGAC) has named the Carpet and Rug Institute’s (CRI) vice president for government regulations, Jennifer Mendez, president of the SGAC board of directors, according to a press release.

Mendez will be responsible for chairing SGAC board of director meetings and representing the Council at public functions.

The announcement was made during the organization’s annual business meeting on August 21.

SGAC is the nation’s largest professional organization for state government relations professionals.

Mendez has previously served as secretary and treasurer for the organization.

“Jenn’s expertise in state government and policy issues has significantly benefitted the carpet industry,” said CRI President Joe Yarbrough. “We continually appreciate her value to CRI, and it is gratifying to see her recognized by her fellow professionals.”
