BURLINGTON, WA — Six groups of carpet cleaners and other volunteers recently donated their time, skills and equipment to help clean carpets and upholstery at two Ronald McDonald Houses in the Portland area, according to a press release.
According to the release, before hosting a pizza party for all of the volunteers, Dri-Eaz and Sapphire Scientific donated a vehicle with a truckmount and cleaning chemicals to every CCINW member that participated in the event.
Members of the CCINW Oregon chapter have been supporting the Ronald McDonald House charities for the past decade, the release noted.
Brian Desemple from Cleaners Supply Warehouse, said: "We think it’s important to give back to the community, and this is such a worthy cause. These families deserve a clean and comfortable place to stay, so we come back every year. It's very rewarding to help, and it's great when cleaners, distributors and manufacturers can all work together to benefit families during their time of need. We thank everyone who supported the effort."
