The winner this month is Rex McClure of Super Kleen Carpet in Powell, TN. Rex will receive a chemical prize package worth $500.

Rex describes this particular job: “The painters thought that the carpet was to be replaced — it was not! They laid their framework down and sprayed white paint on a 20x20 square foot area of blue olefin, glue-down carpet. We used a citrus solvent and a brush with a power rotary jet extraction tool to loosen the paint from the fibers. We then followed with a lot of rinsing with the rotary tool. How much water does it take to rinse out a paint roller? Lastly, we went over the area with a dry bonnet to help prevent any wicking. It was a painfully slow process but the end result, a thrilled customer, made all the difference!”
