IICRC certification continues to be recognized and recommended by name by many major insurance companies, flooring manufacturers and industry trade groups as the premier credentialing program for the inspection, cleaning and restoration industries.

If you are looking for information regarding where to find IICRC-approved training and certification classes, visit the IICRC website at www.iicrc.org. The site provides class descriptions and a searchable list of when and where training is available. Over 27,000 professionals attend IICRC-approved training classes and submit IICRC standardized exams for processing each year. Certification categories include water damage restoration, applied structural drying, fire and smoke restoration, carpet cleaning, upholstery cleaning and many more.

Ralph Bloss award nomination period is open

BIRMINGHAM, AL — The nomination period is now open for the Ralph Bloss Humanitarian Award, presented each year to a floor care industry member who demonstrates the inspiring charitable practices of the late, beloved industry legend.

Only members of the industry may nominate another member of the industry for the award. This is not an award simply recognizing achievement within the industry, but rather nominees should be involved in humanitarian efforts within his or her community and with other cleaning and restoration professionals.

The 2015 Ralph Bloss Humanitarian Award winners were Larry and Tryna Cooper of Meetings & Events and The Experience. Other past winners are:
