HALIFAX, NS — A Windsor man is seeking damages after he was allegedly dismissed without just cause by the disaster restoration company for whom he worked, according to The Chronicle Herald.

On Monday, Graham Dawe filed a notice of application for an order for damages from FirstOnSite Restoration, the article stated.

According to the article, the dismissal allegedly occurred upon his return from stress leave, which was caused by health issues related to toxic fumes he was exposed to in the course of his work, problems with a fellow employee, disputes about compensation and his treatment by management.

Dawe is seeking damages for lost earnings he would have received had he been given reasonable notice of dismissal and damages for employment benefits he would have received if given reasonable notice, the article noted.
