NEWBURY, MA — Former Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) board member Paul J. Thompson has passed away unexpectedly, according to the Newburyport News.

Thompson, 53, was on vacation with his wife, Ginny, when he was taken to the Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, where he later died, the article stated.

According to the article, visiting hours will be held on June 23 at at Elliott, Woodworth & Rogers Family Funeral Home from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

A memorial service will be held at the funeral home Friday, June 24, at 11 a.m., the article noted.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Joslin Diabetes Association; the Martina McBride Foundation, Heroes In Heels; or to the charity of one's choice, the article added.
