Americolor changes ownership
TIGARD, OR — Americolor Corp. is preparing for future growth with a new owner and chief executive officer (CEO).
Melody David, niece of Ernest David (founder of Americolor Dyes) and daughter of Donald David (founder of Color/Match Dyes), will continue the family legacy of producing carpet dyes with the Americolor, Color/Match and Hydro Dye brands.
The David family is well-known as pioneers of carpet dyeing, spanning some 35 years.
Developing further product innovations, the latest education tools and modern marketing techniques are in the works.
“I’m excited to bring carpet dyeing into the 21st century,” Melody states. “As a second generation carpet dyer, I know just what it takes to get the job done and will implement those facets so that carpet dyeing becomes easier and more accessible for the average carpet cleaner.”
Americolor and The Dyers Guild will still offer classes in spot dyeing, full room dyeing and side match correction.
