Legend Brands campaign raises $1500 for Hurricane Sandy Victims
BURLINGTON, WA — Legend Brands provided distributors and customers with an opportunity to help raise money for Hurricane Sandy victims during the week of November 1-7 through an interactive social media and email campaign. Legend Brands offered to donate $1 to the American Red Cross for each Facebook “like” or email open. The campaign raised $1500, which Legend Brands donated to the American Red Cross Hurricane Relief Fund.
Many industry professionals are working around the clock to help meet the demand for equipment and cleaning and restoration services related to Hurricane Sandy. The New York Times reports (Nov. 12, 2012) that early estimates suggest Hurricane Sandy will rank as the nation’s second-worst storm for claims paid out by the National Flood Insurance Program, with 115,000 claims submitted and thousands more being filed each day.
This campaign offered Legend Brands customers and distributors a way to show they care and to support the victims of Hurricane Sandy as a cleaning and restoration community. “We’ll continue to foster collaborative efforts that support a full recovery for those impacted by this devastating event,” explained Bill Bruders, Legend Brands CEO.
