IRVING, TX — Erik Bickerstaff''s long journey to the NFL left him close to hopeless at times and, of all places, working in a football stadium as a custodian last year, but this remarkable individual is now serving as a tailback for the Dallas Cowboys – and couldn''t be happier, The Associated Press said in an article reported by San Francisco''s SFGate.com Friday. Convinced he could make it to the NFL, he refused to give up on his dream, although he certainly had plenty of chances – such as this time last year, when he was a janitor cleaning Wisconsin''s Camp Randall Stadium, but Bickerstaff persevered, according to the AP.
