TUSCALOOSA, AL — Even in "warm weather" states, "spring cleaning" indoors and out — is still practiced, a former athletic department colleague of the legendary Paul "Bear" Bryant at the University of Alabama and scout for the NFL''s Dallas Cowboys can attest, as he did in a Tuscaloosa News report this week.
The News cited an annual 15 percent March-June boost for a local Merry Maids franchise owned by Dr. Gary White, who now serves as athletic director for Open Door Ministries Baptist Church and Christian School; local Pro-Kleen pressure washing business owner Mark Hughes cited a 30 percent-40 percent increase in home exterior cleaning business, continuing through August, with the primary spring target pollen.
