NEW ORLEANS — Orleans School Parish Board members are seeking a criminal probe over the pay of a school custodian — who is the father of the school district''s CEO — and whose gross pay more than doubled last year. WDSU television news reported that several school board members are not satisfied with school probe that determined the whopping increase, which raised custodian Alphonse Davis Sr.''s pay to $70,000 last year — was the result of ongoing construction at the school and a "workaholic" schedule. Davis Sr. previously earned $27,000-a-year, but saw his pay increase the first year his son — Alphonse Davis Jr. — became Orleans Parish school''s CEO. Click here for the industry''s latest news.
