SACRAMENTO, CA — The Carpet and Rug Institute (CRI) announced that it now suggests firms seeking service provider status be certified by the International Cleaning and Restoration Association (ICRA).

This is in addition to the CRI’s recommendation that firms be certified by the IICRC.

The updated CRI Seal of Approval Service Provider (SOA) agreement now reads: “The SOA Service Provider Plus Program strongly recommends that participants (companies) become IICRC certified firms and/or become a member of ICRA (International Cleaning and Restoration Association).”

The CRI also recommends service providers use SOA products, and those providers who use both SOA solutions and equipment are eligible to receive SOA service provider designation.
