LEXINGTON, NC — All Star Cleaning and Restoration of Lexington, North Carolina, recently have expanded their business by offering bedbug identification using a trained Labrador, according to an article in The Dispatch.

Josh Frank and Joey Silver, co-owners of the company, explained that they found a company in Atlanta, Georgia, where they were taught over a week how to train the company dog. There are a number of these training classes around the country and resources online.

Frank points out in the article, that bedbugs are not an issue of cleanliness or affluence and that many of their clients have been wealthy.

Bedbugs have become an epidemic in the Northeastern U.S. over the past few years, and the problem is spreading.
