There is a website called subtitled “Where Insurance Goes to Market.” <photocredit>ThinkStock/iStock/timurock</photocredit>

Its target audience is insurance agents. But it’s an excellent tool for vendors.

It covers what’s new in the insurance industry with specific attention to who is underwriting what. That is, if an insurance company has a new insurance package for car dealers, this website announces it; new insurance programs for “widget makers,” you’ll read about it here and you’ll see who to contact to offer your services.

Where there’s new insurance coverage, there’s going to be new losses and possibly new claims departments needing resources like you.

Again, the advantage for vendors of services to the insurance industry is that it’s a tip line for what territories are being opened, new insurance offices, new insurance coverage/programs being offered, etc.

Check it out. If you can subscribe to their e-mail announcements, do so. Then do your homework and introduce yourself to new potential.
